Naselle School Board Election Nov 2009

Well I see that we have at least one new school board member for the Naselle School District! Michelle Condon, appears to have soundly defeated Mike Queener as a "Write-In" candidate! According to Wahkiakum County election results, Condon received 349 votes to Queener's 274. Hmmm... What is going on here? Looking in from the outside it appears that one explanation is likely: The citizens don't approve of Mike Queener's candidacy and chose instead to elect a mom! Now, I have not met Mrs. Condon but from what I have read about her and from people I have talked to, it is my belief that the voters got this one right.

Does anyone know about this Mike Queener? Who is he and why did he overwhelmingly lose? Perhaps there is more to this story? I will have to put some "feelers" out there. I know lots of people in this area of Pacific County and "small towns" talk.

Stay tuned...and leave a comment...
